7up is a ministry just for 7th graders that occurs in the spring semester to help get the kids excited about SSYM and bridge the gap into later ministries like Club 8 and Luke 18. Unlike Club 8, 7up is designed to be more intimate because the venue for the event is each individual parish's gym and it is just the kids from that parish. This will help 7th graders develop relationships with each other and with the SSYM staff before jumping into Club 8 which is at SMM where there are kids present from all five SSYM parishes in a larger group setting. The cost is only $5 and that covers food, games, prizes, drinks, and candy. It is a lock-in event, so kids are not allowed to leave the facility until it is time to go home. There is no permission form needed, but we do ask that you sign your child in and out, as this allows the SSYM staff to get the proper emergency contact information and also to meet you. Please help spread the word about this fun ministry for 7th graders and keep your eyes on the bulletin and other parts of the site for the date at your parish.
